Want outdoor photos, but you're not sure where? These are some of my favorite local spots for portrait sessions, from engagements to families.

Wells Beach Jetty

Wells, ME

This is my favorite spot for sunset sessions! There is plenty of beach, even at high tide, and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. Parking is free after 6pm in the summer, and all day from Indigenous Peoples Day to Memorial Day.

Wagon Hill Farm

Durham, NH

Wagon Hill Farm's 139 acres and beautiful paths provide lots of varied backdrops for our portrait session, making it a great option year round. Owned and maintained by the town of Durham, Wagon Hill is open to the public from dawn to dusk.

York Harbor Beach

York, ME

This beautiful beach is situated just down a paved footpath from the Hartley Mason Reserve, offering both foliage and beach settings. Street parking is free next to the reserve; the lot closer to the beach is permit parking only.

Prescott Park

Portsmouth, NH

The stunning gardens and Piscataqua River views at Prescott Park make this a fantastic choice for a vibrant portrait session! Parking here can be tricky—there are paid lots and limited metered street parking nearby.

Hamilton House

South Berwick, ME

Summer sessions in Hamilton House's lush gardens are always a hit! All sessions at Hamilton House must be approved in advance by Historic New England, and there is a $100 per session location fee.

Butternut Farm

Farmington, NH

From candid berry-picking sessions to seasonal photo shoots, Butternut Farm is the place to be! The farm has plenty of parking, lots of beautiful spots for portraits, and a cider house where you can purchase donuts and cider after our session.
